Traveling With Family Is a Blessing
We have had a number of trips this year with family and to
attend family events. We have enjoyed every single trip with our family. We
feel extremely blessed to have the family we have. My husband’s family is very
close. They support each other in everything and work together to make events
special. There is a level of love and respect that still exists in the Person
and Hedgepeth families that many families have lost.
We traveled to Detroit
this year with our daughter (mine through love) and with our mother for our
family reunion and had a wonderful time. There is a Hedgepeth family reunion
every other year and a Person family reunion on the opposite year every other
year. The majority of the family attends the family reunions and we celebrate
the achievements of the family. We have had young people finish their PhDs,
complete master’s degrees, complete bachelor’s degrees, become medical doctors
and judges. It is an amazing opportunity to share the success of the young
people in this extraordinary family and it spurs the family to expect success
from its young people. Most importantly, the family praises God and thanks the
Lord Jesus for all of His blessings.
We also traveled to Orlando to celebrate a
dear cousin’s 70th birthday. Many family members made the trip to
Orlando for that celebration and we had a great time! We also took a short
family trip to New Orleans for a weekend and had a great time in the Big Easy.
The food in New Orleans is so good! You must have the beignets from Café Du Monde.
In June, we took a cruise as a family to celebrate the graduation of our daughter
who completed her PhD in public health. We had a wonderful time with her and
her spectacular friends who are a delight. We cruised to Aruba, Curacao, St.
Thomas, and St. Kitts. We enjoyed the cruise and the time with loved ones. We
enjoy traveling with and spending time with family, while we also enjoy our
time as a couple. It is a blessing to have such an amazing family and to enjoy
all of our time together! We live, love, laugh, and travel together. We thank
God for all of them always!
